Léa Salamé talks about her meeting with Christophe Dechavanne (VIDEO)

Next Saturday, France 2 will broadcast the first issue of “Quelle époque” at 11:10 p.m. Léa Salamé will have the arduous task of succeeding Laurent Ruquier at the helm of this strategic time slot for France Télévisions. Quite a challenge for the journalist who decided to surround herself with Christophe Dechavanne and Philippe Caverivière for this new program.

“What a time!”, as its name suggests, will aim to “tell the time and take the pulse of society, highlight the personalities that mark this time, in culture, current affairs, politics, the media , including social networks”, underlines the producer Régis Lamanna-Rodat.

For the first issue, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Nicky Doll and Marco Mouly will be the first guests.

Tonight, on the set of Touche not in my position at C8, Léa Salamé told backstage of her meeting with the star presenter of the 90s, Christophe Dechavanne. “I flirted with him,” she teases her. “I called him. When Laurent Ruquier decided to stop, I regret it but I respect the decision, we met with my producer and we asked ourselves ‘who do we want’?

She adds: “I was a fan, I saw it in the 90s. I grew up with it. I didn’t know him at all.”

Léa Salamé, who had proposed three other names to her producer, continues: “We met at the beginning of July, he landed half an hour late, he came from his field, in shorts (…) In any case he was there, he was very nice”.

Under the spell, Christophe Dechavanne “made three valves, I laughed, it lasted two hours.”

Very moved, Christophe Dechavanne thanked this meeting and immediately gave the green light to join Léa Salamé and her program project. The host, who will officiate as a permanent guest, will have his appointment with the person he wishes to highlight.
