I am very interested in sharing my knowledge with people to be a part of the freelancing era and surpass imagination.
The growth of digital technologies has caused massive revolutions in all fields. The covid pandemic also paved the way for job losses and job instability. Many people who lost their jobs or felt insecure in the labor market ventured into self-employment. Being self-employed has become a viable career these days.
This digital age has brought some crazy possibilities to reality. Apps like Amazon, Ola, Uber and Swiggy emerged, connecting service providers/sellers and customers. Based on the same idea, there are dozens of freelancing platforms out there today.
The main job of these sites is to connect freelancers and employers from all over the world and provide a safe environment for both. Therefore, starting your journey as a freelancer through one of these sites is the best possible way.
Today there are many freelancing platforms and many of these platforms work in a similar way. But the two main problems with all these platforms are the crowd and the processing fee. Due to the crowd, it is almost impossible for a newbie to get a job using these sites.
Applying to 100’a jobs every day and not securing one can be exhausting. The second biggest problem is their processing fee. It is not a fixed price. These platforms charge a whopping 15% to 20% of the money you earn as a processing fee.
Gig4U – A Freelance Marketplace for Indian Freelancers and Freelancers
This is where Gig4u comes into the picture. Gig4u is an Indian freelancing platform launched by Gigflex Pvt ltd which is a subsidiary of 2COMS Consulting Pvt Ltd. 2Coms is a well-known recruitment agency and manpower consultant in India. With the Gig4U marketplace, there are two main benefits for Indian freelancers:
First of all, Gig4u is aimed at the Indian market; therefore, there will not be much competition like other platforms around the world.
Also, the processing fee is only 7%, which will bring further relief to the service provider, i.e. the freelancer.
How Gig4U Works for Freelancers and Freelancers

Click on “To find a job”, and you will be taken to a registration page. Gig4u does not charge you to register and bid on jobs. The processing fee is applied only once you get a job. So you can fill out the registration form without worrying.
As a freelancer, you will be asked to choose your type of business. If you are an individual self-employed person, you can choose the ‘Individual’ option. If you are someone who works or has an agency, you can choose ‘Company’.
After selecting this, you will be prompted to enter your name. If you are an individual service provider, you can fill in your name. If you have chosen ‘Company’, you must fill in both your name and the name of your company.
After this, you need to provide other basic information like ‘Email’ and ‘Phone Number’. Now that you have provided this information, you will be asked to specify your ‘Broad Functional Area’, ie your industry. The ‘Role/Sub-Function’ of your job and the ‘Skills’ you have.
Gig4u provides a platform for a wide variety of jobs and skill sets. TThere are different categories here like Design, Software Development, Sales, Marketing, Cloud Services, Business Automation and multiple subfields in each category. You can go to gig4u.co and scroll down to see all the categories and subcategories in detail.
Once you choose your industry, role, and skill set, click the Submit button. When submitting the form, you must verify your account through your email. After verification is complete, you can set up your profile with a profile picture and provide other details.
Gig4u works on a gig basis. A client, i.e. the employer, will post their requirements as jobs. Now you, the service provider, can browse through the gigs and bid on a gig that’s right for you. Once you make your offer, the customer will accept the offer based on their profile and the offer price.
Once the client accepts your offer, you must send a ‘Agreement‘ to the customer, to which the customer must agree. Once the client accepts your agreement, he will make his 100% payment to DEPOSIT which is a Gig4u payment platform. This is to ensure the credibility of the client and avoid future problems in terms of payment.
Once this payment process is complete, you can start working on the project and deliver the deliverables. Make sure you meet all requirements and deliver deliverables on time. Once you deliver the project, you must request a “sign off” from the client. If the client is satisfied with the job, they will ‘Approv’ it; otherwise, they will contact you to make the necessary changes.
By making the necessary changes and receiving a ‘Approval,’ your project will be considered completed and payment will be released. Gig4u is designed with an easy and intuitive process to provide an effective experience for both the service provided, that is, the freelancer and the client. So start your freelance career through Gig4u with confidence and security!
